Mathias level par after first round
Mathias shot a level par round on Thursday after struggling with his iron play. He only managed to hit 50 % of the greens in regulation. Mathias is currently in top-55 position and needs a solid round on Friday to move up the leaderboard.Check out a video of Mathias amazing save from the bunker on the 18th hole

He turned pro in December 1990 after having completed an impressive amateur career. Mathias enrolled into a Swedish golf academy at age 15 and quickly gained a spot on the Swedish Junior National Team. In 1988 he won the Swedish Boys Championship. He won the prestigious British Youth Championship at Southerness in 1990. During the same year Mathias contributed to the Swedish victory of the Eisenhower Trophy.Read more about Mathias
