Mathias finish T21st in New Orleans
Mathias did not manage to get his first top-10 of the season, but was still rather happy with his performance at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Mathias score for the week was 281 (69-71-67-74).He finished T21st and was 11 shots behind the winner Jason Bohn.
"It was a long Sunday due to the rain delay. I had a great run in my third round with 5 birdies on the back nine. Unfortunately I was not able to play as well during the final round, however I am happy to be playing better golf and look forward to the next event" Mathias said after the 4th round on Sunday.

He turned pro in December 1990 after having completed an impressive amateur career. Mathias enrolled into a Swedish golf academy at age 15 and quickly gained a spot on the Swedish Junior National Team. In 1988 he won the Swedish Boys Championship. He won the prestigious British Youth Championship at Southerness in 1990. During the same year Mathias contributed to the Swedish victory of the Eisenhower Trophy.Read more about Mathias
