Mathias shoot 71 in round 1
This week Mathias tees it up on the Nationwide Tour at the Fresh Express Classic at TPC Sonebrae.Mathias opened with a level par round 71 on Thursday and sits currently at T71st position. He will have an early tee time on Friday and hopefully he can get the putts to roll in the hole.
"I played ok today, but my putting was terrible. I think I had like 34-35 putts and that is just bad. I need to spend a few hours on the practice green and find my rythm again. I feel confident that I will make a solid round tomorrow and by that make up some of the lost ground" Mathias said after the round on Thursday.

He turned pro in December 1990 after having completed an impressive amateur career. Mathias enrolled into a Swedish golf academy at age 15 and quickly gained a spot on the Swedish Junior National Team. In 1988 he won the Swedish Boys Championship. He won the prestigious British Youth Championship at Southerness in 1990. During the same year Mathias contributed to the Swedish victory of the Eisenhower Trophy.Read more about Mathias
