Mathias T68th after round 1
Mathias is T68th after the first round at the Louisiana Open after shooting a one over par 72 round on Thursday. He started with two solid birdies in his first couple holes, but a double bogey on a par 5 slowed down his progress. "I actually played ok today, but made a couple bad shots that hurt me bad. I look forward to playing on Friday and I feel like I can go really low on this course" Mathias said after the round.Mathias will have an early tee time on Friday and you can follow the action on www.pgatour.com 2010-03-26

He turned pro in December 1990 after having completed an impressive amateur career. Mathias enrolled into a Swedish golf academy at age 15 and quickly gained a spot on the Swedish Junior National Team. In 1988 he won the Swedish Boys Championship. He won the prestigious British Youth Championship at Southerness in 1990. During the same year Mathias contributed to the Swedish victory of the Eisenhower Trophy.Read more about Mathias
