Mathias to play Louisiana Open
Mathias will enter the Chitimacha Louisiana Open on the Nationwide Tour this week. The event starts March 25th."I am not able to play this week on the PGA TOUR due to my rankings, therefor I have decided to enter the Nationwide Tour event and hopefully I can play well there and get my momentum going for the rest of the 2010 season" Mathias said to website staff on Monday morning.

He turned pro in December 1990 after having completed an impressive amateur career. Mathias enrolled into a Swedish golf academy at age 15 and quickly gained a spot on the Swedish Junior National Team. In 1988 he won the Swedish Boys Championship. He won the prestigious British Youth Championship at Southerness in 1990. During the same year Mathias contributed to the Swedish victory of the Eisenhower Trophy.Read more about Mathias
