MG to play Puerto Rico Open
Mathias turns 40 this week, however the celebrations will be put on hold as he has entered the Puerto Rico Open. "I need to keep playing in order to get my game where I want it to be. Going to Puerto Rico will be great and I hope to play well" Mathias told website staff yesterday evening.Be sure to check out the action on the PGA TOUR website. 2010-03-09

He turned pro in December 1990 after having completed an impressive amateur career. Mathias enrolled into a Swedish golf academy at age 15 and quickly gained a spot on the Swedish Junior National Team. In 1988 he won the Swedish Boys Championship. He won the prestigious British Youth Championship at Southerness in 1990. During the same year Mathias contributed to the Swedish victory of the Eisenhower Trophy.Read more about Mathias
