Mayakoba Golf Classic
Mathias will this week tee it up at the Mayakoba Golf Classic at Riviera Maya-Cancun.The event starts tomorrow and the tee times have been posted. Mathias will play paired in the first two rounds with former British Open champion Todd Hamilton and Chris Stroud.
Mathias hopes to get his season going after a slow start. Last week he played well from tee to green, though the putting was not at all up to standard, so this week Mathias has spent hours on the practice putting green preparing for the start on Thursday.

He turned pro in December 1990 after having completed an impressive amateur career. Mathias enrolled into a Swedish golf academy at age 15 and quickly gained a spot on the Swedish Junior National Team. In 1988 he won the Swedish Boys Championship. He won the prestigious British Youth Championship at Southerness in 1990. During the same year Mathias contributed to the Swedish victory of the Eisenhower Trophy.Read more about Mathias
